Please be sure you meet all requirements before you register.
Class size limited to 15 well-behaved 11– to 13–year-old students. One parent should plan to sit with his or her child for at least the first class meeting to help with basic online class practices and procedures. The student will greatly benefit if the parent can oversee work and help as needed.
REQUIRED MATERIALS:
Student Writing Intensive Level B DVD Course
Equipment Needed:
Computer with high-speed Internet (Siblings enrolled in the same class must have access to their own computer.)
Up-to-date Adobe Reader and Microsoft Word (or equivalent programs)
Up-to-date streaming software (i.e., Flash Player) [You can test your connection with the Adobe Connect platform here]
Headphones and splitter if parent is observing class (helpful, but not required)
Microphone (not required, can be built into headset or computer)
A quiet environment during class period
Email account (Parent’s email is okay.)
